Adult Education & Nurture

Learn about the 16th century reformations in Europe. This is the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luther's posting of his 95 Theses on the door of the Wittenberg Cathedral. Learn where we came from and discern where God is calling us to evolve. All adults are invited to attend these provocative sessions with an open mind and a gentle heart.
 
Nurture offerings attempt to engage our adult church family in conversation, debate, prayer, and understanding in the areas of Biblical study, Theology, spiritual development, current events, and social issues. We do not shy away from controversial issues, but rather seek to find ways to peacefully and respectfully hear the many sides of an issue. Where agreement cannot be achieved we attempt to understand and respect opposing opinions.

Adult Nurture welcomes all of you to an exciting season of programming and activities that’ll broaden your knowledge base, give you food for theological thought and tweak your sensibilities. We hope you’ll avail yourselves of both Sunday morning Education Hour programs and those offered on Wednesday evenings.

 Celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, come and deepen your understanding of our faith. Led by Dr. Loren Scribner we trace the beginnings of the Reformed tradition and what we in the Presbyterian Church practice today.
               Travel Opportunity: Do you like to travel? Are you curious about the beginnings of our Reformed faith? While this is not a GIPC sponsored trip, many of us will be traveling next September 20 through October 3, 2018,  to Switzerland, Germany, France and the Netherlands. We will visit the places where the Reformation began. Led by Dr. Loren Scribner, we will learn much and enjoy a time of deepening understanding of our faith. This trip is open to all. 2018 Men's Retreat
